Our primary goal is helping people love their home. Home is a wonderful place to be and you should enjoy being there. We are conscious of this goal every step of the way.
- We keep a clean site by cleaning throughout the day, at the end of every day, and before every weekend. We also carefully mask off construction areas and use many dust mitigation techniques to minimize mess in your home.
- We educate you about your home through the process. We inform you when we find potential issues and help you work through solutions without pressure. For example, we will inform you if we find mold near your shower suggesting a leak and will continue as you come up with a solution.
- We truly hope that you love the fruit of our labor after we have completed your project with your loved ones for many years to come.
A "large project" for us may last 3-4 months. A small project for us lasts 1-2 weeks. We will typically carry one large project at a time. Large projects often have days or weeks at a time in which subcontractors are engaged in the project and there is no place for us to work. We often fill these "voids" in our schedule with smaller projects. This means that, even though we are a General Contractor, we are available for your "small" project, in fact, we find great joy in them.
We are hired to complete the WORK of the project, but the PROJECT is not ours. The home is yours. The motivation to remodel is yours. The concept is yours. And the enjoyment of the completed project will be yours. As the homeowner, you are hiring us to complete the work of the project and we are honored that you would trust us with your project.
Every remodel project requires some design work. There are three ways to complete this and the choice is ultimately yours:
1. Hire a designer. This is the most efficient choice as a professional designer will often have significant experience to bring to the project. And although a designer typically bears significant upfront costs, their contribution almost always adds to the value of the property more than an inexperienced designer would.
2. Let us design your space. We can help you determine the best look for the space according to your tastes. Our fees are reasonable.
3. Bring your own design. Some people are born designers and we welcome your influence. If you choose to design, it is best to have your design complete before we start discussing your project. This allows us to offer a good quote right up front and let you know what further information we may need. Important aspects for your design include dimensional drawings, specific material selections, and final color selections. We will take your design and complete the work and will only charge a fee if coaching or guidance is required.
We love taking on projects and creating a streamlined workflow with full oversight. "Too many chefs spoil the broth" and too many General Contractors can derail a project. While the project is yours and we report to you, we love to be in charge of the entire project from pre-construction through completion.
Being in charge of projects means that we are fully responsible for all the work of the project and all the materials that we bring in. Whether a product that we brought in is damaged, or there is a failure in workmanship, give us a call and we'll make sure to make it right.
We believe that the primary responsibility of any General Contractor to reduce a liability of everybody involved in the project. This includes protecting homeowners who might lack the skill, knowledge, experience, time, or physical ability to complete the project. We protect Homeowners from liability by assuring successful project completion. We also protect homeowners by only bringing in well-vetted, licensed, bonded, and insured Subcontractors who have signed our thorough subcontract and with whom we have a long-term relationship. We come with a team that you can trust.
We believe that experience and expertise should count for something. We have experience in every aspect of the remodel process because we have done it all. However, there are many members of a remodel team who have more experience than us and we employ their experience to your benefit. Designers, Electricians, Plumbers, Drywallers, Painters, Roofers and many other Subcontractors are waiting to serve you under our leadership.
